Prana is very pleased to offer “glamping” for the first time!

We are working with New Zealand company Lotus Belle tents, who have their very own design of unique “glamping” tents. The tardis like interior offers a lot more usable space than a standard bell tent and its extremely weather proof.

With a commitment to creating a sustainable product and a motto of “tents for life, not the landfill” Lotus Belle tents and Prana are the perfect collaboration. Lotus Belle tents have graced the fields of some of the world’s top festivals including Glastonbury, Lighting in a Bottle and Burning Man.

We will have the following options available to guests over Prana New Year Festival 2015. Entry and parking tickets are sold separately, info will follow per mail.
Double Belle – 1 x Premium Queen bed or 3 x singles $900
Treble Belle - - 3 x singles $1050

In addition Prana will be offering a first for festivals in New Zealand, a “glamping” dorm offering for the budget conscious traveller. Lotus Belle Dorm – 6 x singles for $300 each
Prana Glamping will be sure to sell out quickly so secure your spot now by emailing accommodations[at]

Coming by Car? Our aim is to minimize car traffic, maintain safety, and encourage you to car pool! It saves on fuel and contributes to a less polluted Planet. Most of our site is CAR FREE. A SHUTTLE SERVICE is provided from the standard car park to all camping areas. See Map below. You can purchase your car parking pass here online at any time for $40 and at the gate upon arrival for the Gate price ($60) (standard parking). Prana land is a barefoot paradise and all areas, hubs, beach and stages are within 5 minute strolls.

Camping & Tent options are additional to your entry pass. Choosing your options is fun and easy. There are also practical guidelines about camping during the New Year’s festival & pictures for your reference so there's no confusion. Small and Medium tent passes can also be bought last minute at the gate. But Large and Extra large tent sites have to be prebooked (they sell out, limited spaces).

Campervans and Motorhomes park in the Valley Camp, and if we can secure extra space, we'll extend the options. But if you know for sure you want to sleep in your vehicle, you'll need to get your special ticket early as they sell out! These are limited!

On Arrival Day Usually you will find a que of cars outside the Prana Gate. Make sure you have refreshements (humor&snacks) with you. You will get processed by our gate crew who scan your printed tickets. If you don't have a ticket you need proof of identity to look up your ticket under your name. You will get the appropriate passes for your vehicle and tenting. Park attendees guide you to your parking spot and will help you to transfer your belongings to the Shuttle Service. All belongings go into the trailer and it is a good idea to minimise your loose items and pack smartly to facilitate this process smoothly. You will be brought to your (reserved) camping spot. Hold on to your ticket all this time, it is like your boarding pass...

Before you click on ORDER NOW... have a good look at where you would like to camp. Valley Camp and Beach Lane are standard prices. Ponga Grove and Forest Camp are popular for their excellent shade. Standard parking is a ten minute walk from the festival site. Sleeping vehicles are only allowed in the Valley Camp. Valley Camp parking numbers are limited and have to be pre-booked.

We have made Youth & Child passes a fixed price throughout the whole year! These are separate tickets (so you can purchase them even after you have gotten your Friend of Prana or Early Bird Adult pass) with the condition that a Guardian or Adult (25+) accompany these people.

There are no Family options anymore: you just pick the Add-ons which fit your situation! Families are very varied these days so it's a modern system for modern times!

There is a new category for Young Adults aged between 18 and 24! (It's sort of like a Student rate but we realise not everyone between these ages is necessarily a student but most probably on a low income or be a young family in the making)

The Premium camping areas are set to Forest Camp and Ponga Grove they are closest to the festival hub and provide excellent shade. The tent options range from small to large. The larger tent sites are limited in number.

In a nutshell: Everyone pays just for the space they use. No car? No parking fee! Please car pool with friends! If you are a backpacker, and all you have is a 1.5 x 2 sleeping tent it's free camping for you! Free camp spots are allocated by the camp stewards.

Many things will stay the same: Toddlers are free, fresh bore drinking water from every tap, showers, friendly vibe, whanau connection, amaaaaazing beach and random acts of spontaneous joy and kindness!

We do not rely upon any corporate sponsors, grants or alcohol sales to fund this event. This experience is powered solely by our enthusiastic participants and their advance ticket purchases, which forms the size and depth of the Prana experience and help us to get started early on in the year in booking the best acts and workshops. We strive to keep tickets accessible and we are extremely pleased to be able to offer Prana New Year Festivals to our community at such an incredible fair price.

Prana caters to those individuals who are seeking spiritual sustenance to enhance their enjoyment of celebration together with Like-Minded people.

Prana Retreat remains one of the few locations in New Zealand where festival participants celebrate this special event in a Family Friendly natural way.

Extensive planning goes into the choice of entertainment and workshops offered at Prana New Year Festival. Organisers attribute the safe, friendly reputation and atmosphere to the selectively invited audience.
